{Look what came today!!}

Summer at Dreamspirations Gallery had a giveaway and I won the lovely gal below. She came in the mail today and she's just lovely and so beautifully done! I am completely inspired by Summer's work and hope that one day my creations bring just as much inspiration to someone else.

I have been pretty lucky lately. First I won a cute headband and then I won a box full of "Little Debbie" treats and today I got a D-Link home network camera that I won from Shop with Me Mama.

I realize these are not big wins but for someone who rarely wins anything it's pretty cool to find out that you won three times in a month.

Below is the D-link wireless camera that I won. It's pretty cool you can use an app for your i-phone, i-pad or android device to get the streaming video of whatever you are pointing the camera at. How cool is that!

Cindy at Cinsarah had a giveaway that included a lovely headband from Olives and Pearls and I won the headband (it always shocks me when I win anything).

When it came in the mail today, Ruth was excited and kept asking me what it was. She was tickled orange when she was what it was. It really is a cute hair accessory and will get lots of use at our home and it's well made too.

I am so excited to share this with everyone! I love to read blogs and do tend to enter give-a-ways when I can and I know I probably won't win and rarely do, but I enter anyways. Well let me tell you that Peppermint Plum was having a give-a-way last week and guess who won? ME! I was so excited because the items were from IKEA - my all time fav place to go when I can. I miss not having one close to me.

Peppermint Plum is done by two sisters, Tammy and Annie. They claim to be NORMAL but really if you know me you know I don't stalk normal blogs only those that are extra UN-normal. Check out their blog and guess what, they are on Facebook too!

I finally got the last of the OWOH (one world One heart) door prizes. It had a long way to go and because of the tsunami in Japan it took a little longer then expected but this afternoon it was sitting on my doorstep just waiting for me to open it.

It's from Lelanie who lives in a beautiful and far off land and you can check out her blog here. I had Ruth wear and hold the lovely items Lelanie sent. Ruth of course ran off with the headband and ring but I got to hold onto the broach and owl (I collect owls and she wasn't going to get away with it, this time). {One World One Heart World Tour}

A little bit about me, I am a wife to my loving husband of almost 12 years and mother to our four beautiful children. I have a small photography business that has been on the back burner for a short while  but now I am moving it to the front burner. I have 2 spunky and crazy cats as well as 2 wild and insane dogs. 


We just bought our house this past September and it's a bit surreal that we actually own the place we are living - no landlord to call when a problem arises - kinda scary but exciting at the same time! I am in the process of losing weight to get myself down to a more manageable size and so that I can be more active with my children and hubby. It's been a struggle but once I get into the groove it will be AMAZING!


My life has become a bit of chaos and as I sort it out I am finding that it's not really as chaotic as I once thought and things are doable and if I just take things as they come life is so much more manageable and if I remember the next day is new and fresh and the old one is behind me I can keep my focus...


Now onto my "Door Prize":

I will be giving away a 5x7 print matted to an 8x10 of my art shown below (minus the watermark) and it will be signed by me. This is a photograph that I took and turned into a digital painting using photoshop. It's one of my favorite works of art and it makes me smile every time I see it and I hope you do too.

Because I don't have a place to pull out my tangible art supplies because of my children's need to "help" me with my creative process I find I am using the computer to help me release some of my creative energy. {I can't believe I won!}

I can't believe I won the give-a-way that Rebekah had on her blog Tummy Yummies. I just got the package today, it was waiting for me on my porch after having lunch with my dad & Kitty. What a wonderful gift to come home too.

The below image shows what was in the package (I didn't want to fuss with my camera so I used the image Rebekah had on her blog). The two books I am sending to my sister who is expecting her first baby the end of summer and the diapers are the right size for MJ and you can never have too many bibs, (the bib is super cute and I can't wait to try it out on MJ, it's got green & brown birdies on it).

Lisa at "a whimsical bohemian" created an awesome way for bloggers across the world to get to know other bloggers by creating One World One Heart giveaway event. I participated last year by contributing in the giveaway. This year I couldn't participate with a giveaway of my own but still got to see so many fun and exciting blogs & enter their giveaways. I hope to participate next year. This years theme was "Magic Carpet Ride" and I really did enjoy the many places I found flying on that proverbial carpet ride.

Well the event has ended and guess what? I actually won a few giveaways. I was excited because last year I didn't win and expected the same this year, so you can imagine my shock when I opened my email and saw 3 emails entitled "OWOH Giveaway Winner".

Yasmin told me I won a beautiful set of handcrafted note card, while Kristina told me I had won her handmade red & pink heart blanket and Mallory told me I had won one of her beautiful hand made glass heart pendants. It feels like Christmas all over again.

I am really glad that I was able to travel to so many wonderful blogs. I hope to do the same again next year and be a stop along the way for others.

As a side note, I hope everyone had a great valentines day. I know I did. We spent the day watching "Farscape" and hanging out with the kids. Our romantic dinner consisted of cup 'o noodle and chocodiles. The kids loved it and it was nice not to have to clean up tons of dishes.

Today was the last day of the 4 day weekend for the kids, tomorrow they go back to school. It was sure nice having them home all this time. I am actually going to miss having them home all day. I think my perspective is changing and the little things just don't bother me like they used to and their fighting doesn't drive me nuts like it did.

Perhaps I am just growing up, (yeah right), or maturing, (not likely), but at least, for now things are running smoother and I am not getting as stressed out as often when it comes to the kids behavior. It could also be that I am getting better sleep now that they are all moved upstairs with us and I am not worrying about a fire breaking out and them being trapped in the basement, (that could be it).

Lisa "oceandreamer" Swifka came up with the idea of One World-One Heart in 2007 to coordinate a giveaway to introduce bloggers to one another. She and most of the participants are artists, so you could be a fortunate recipient of a piece of beautiful art.

Winning the giveaway isn't really the point. (Of course, everyone likes to be a winner.) It's a way to touch other people's hearts in a sincere manner. It fosters an audience for new and established blogs. It's an icebreaker to encourage people to introduce themselves on a global level.
