{beautiful sunrise}

When I stepped out the door this morning I had to run back in to grab my camera before taking the boys to school. The sky was just stunning!!

Of course due to the cloud cover the I never actually saw the sun peek over the "mountains" but the light was just a spectacular red. Don't you agree?

I could never have gotten this shot in Aloha due to all the buildings around where I lived. I am loving it here!!

(side note - Ruth is officially potty trained and no longer needs diapers/pull ups! HURRAY!!)

{Suicide Birds too!?!?}

I just watched a pigeon fly head on into the side of a semi-truck this afternoon. He fell out of the air and hit a passing car - I am sure freaking out the driver of the small red car...(it would freak me out!)

What's up with the animals here? Is this happening everywhere? or perhaps this pigeon was fine and just wanted to freak out the "humans"....

{New Haircut}

I just got back from getting a haircut...the gal put hairspray in my hair...ugh had to brush it all out when I got home...what do you think?

{New Apron}

I am a bit of an apron freak, I admit it freely! I found a great vendor on Etsy called Great Goods that sells aprons (and she is local for me so it only takes a day to get her cute aprons). Well I got my first apron today and I LOVE IT!!! I had hubby take a few pictures of it on me - don't I just look like a total dork...

If you don't know what to get me, an apron will always make me smile! I just can't get enough of them. I love that I can keep my clothes clean while cooking and can still feel "sexy" even when baking bread...Besides that a pretty apron always makes me feel like I could be that perfect 50's housewife who had everything together and always looked good and never a hair outta place...*sigh*

{Suicide Squirrels}

That's right, I said it! I live around suicide squirrels! They hide behind the trees, fence posts and at the very last possible second they run out in front of MY car! I have yet to hit one, but this morning it was a close call for one little squirrel who just wanted to throw himself under my tires.

Do you think they need Prozac to help with their suicidal tendencies? Is it just the squirrels who live around here who are trying to throw themselves under MY car or are they trying this all over the world?
