{2011 Weigh In: Week 4}

This is the last Weigh in for the month of January! Oh my Goodness!! It's amazing how time has just flown by! This week I have done really well with watching my portion sizes and getting breakfast into my routine.

(isn't this a cute top, it was a bit snug on me before and now that it fits better, I am liking it more)

Another thing that has really helped me this week is My Fitness Pal, it's a FREE online food & exercise journal and has awesome forums where you can get support from others trying to lose weight (great way to keep track of what you eat and how much you eat!!). I also am getting lots of support from my "Lose 6 in 6" group and if you want to see more posts of my struggles and be inspired by the others come on over and check it out the blog - the first month is just about over with and the end of month updates will be up the first part of February, so go check it out!

(It's all in the angle of the arm, there is way more FLAB there - my boob looks lopsided too - darn nursing bras!)

Below are my weight for the 4 weeks (there will only be 4 weeks up at a time):

Week 1 weigh in: 280.5 pounds

Week 2 weigh in: 280.5 pounds

Week 3 weigh in: 275.5 pounds

Week 4 weigh in: 273.5 pounds

total weight loss/gain: - 7 pounds

(you can really see the FAT/FLAB on my arm - icky! and I look pregnant *sigh*)

And now onto my current measurements (mind you my before measurements were measured w/a metal tape measure the now is done w/a cloth one, no excuses though):

NOW    -    BEFORE

49" Bust 51" (-2")

57" Hips 57" (same)

48" Waist 42" (+6")

16" Arm 17" (-1")

Because I am struggling with working out in my home & due to the erratic and cold weather my hubby and I have decided to join the YMCA because not only can we benefit from it but there is lots for the kids to do as well while hubs hits the pool and I hit the gym area.

(This skirt is getting larger, I don't even need to unzip it anymore, it will just pull right off, soon it will need a belt - I like this front view the best though)

I am hoping that this decision will help me get my measurements & weight down a lot more in February so that I can get my goal back on track, (although I am down 7 pounds but I am up 3" - but it's a work in progress).

So here's to gettin' my but in gear and start shedding some pounds over the course of the very short February!!

{2011 Weigh In: Week 3}

Another week down and I must say that this week I have been kept on track for the most part. I haven't walked this week because it's either been too cold or raining. I am hoping that this next week will be less hostile in terms of the type of weather we have.

My eating habits have improved and I must say just eating breakfast within an hour of waking has sure helped out a ton. Doctors and Nutritionist are sure right when they say "the most important meal of the day is breakfast."

I have been writing some of my struggles and successes over on "Healthier Me" be sure to check it out if you would like a more indepth look at my progress and the others who signed up for the "lose 6" in 6 months".

Below is my progress:

Week 1 weigh in: 280.5 pounds

Week 2 weigh in: 280.5 pounds

Week 3 weigh in: 275.5 pounds

weight loss/gain: - 5 pounds

{a moment in time}

Today my dad stopped by so I could photograph his lawnmower and after I did that I captured him, my daughter & the dogs. My dad had eye surgery last Thursday and today his eyes are only slightly red. He's looking good and he's only seeing one of everything instead of doubles...so the surgery was a success so far!! YAY!!! Below are my snaps of our time outside.

(almost a week after his surgery)

(shortly after his surgery while he was in recovery - taken w/cell phone)

I missed a day - totally spaced photographing anything but I did capture a moment today with my dad.

{New Do and Snaps}

"Hey Ruth. Can I cut your hair?" Sam asked innocently.

"Sure, just make me look pretty and not like a boy." Ruth said.

While the missionaries were giving Aaron a discussion lesson, Ruth comes down and states "Sam cut my hair on purpose" with a bit of a whine in her voice (trying to get her brother into trouble).

"It's ok, I will straiten it up so you don't look silly" I say as I wisks her to the bathroom where Ruth tells me "Sam asked me if he could cut my hair, maybe I shouldn't have let him do it"

I start cutting and Ruth squeaks softly, with a tear in her eye "You won't be able to put my hair up in pony tails anymore, will you?" I shook my head and told her "No honey, it's too short now, but you will still look pretty." to which Ruth replied "I shouldn't have said "yes" to Sam"

(she was still a bit sad about her hair being short)

(but soon that sadness disappeared and she posed happily for the camera)

(I am glad she has curly hair 'cause it hides the imperfections)

While MJ is happy and cooing I decide to take a few snaps of her...She is such a happy baby, but can be cranky when she wants to be too.

(she has such long lashes)

(whose there?)

I wanted to capture a few of Ceasar and our new dog, Alex, together. They really didn't want to cooperate but I got them to do it anyways...Aren't they just too cute!!

(both a bit timid with each other still)

(sizing one another up)

(Look at me!)

{Meet Alex}

We got a new dog today, we were told he's half pug, half miniature pincher. He is about a year and a half and full of spunk and in great need of being neutered (he was FREE so I figured paying for his surgery would be a fine exchange).

Alex and Ceasar hit it off but Alex got a bit too frisky for my liking, but I am sure that will change once his "nuts" are gone. He is still a pup so he will need some obedience training but we know he's going to be easy to train just because of how well he started listening to us, (with our friend, Josh's, help), now we just need to get him into a class and neutered.

So now we have TWO cats and TWO dogs, plus 4 kiddo's too.

{2011 Weigh In: Week 2}

No change in my weight from last week to this week (my scale died a few days ago but now it's working again - guess it just needed dried out). I do have some changes in my measurements though, some for the good and others not so much. I haven't been eating right at all (tons of stress eating). Been lots of stress and such and I hope that this next week will work out for the best and I can lose the 5" I added on my waist and lose some weight and not let the stress take hold of what I eat!

Week 1 weigh in: 280.5 pounds

Week 2 weigh in: 280.5

weight loss/gain: 0 pounds

Measurements ( the ones in black are from the start and the ones in red are from today)

51" breast - 51" - same
42" waist - 47"  - added 5" (ack!!! now I am wondering how accurate my metal tape measure is)
57" hips - 56" - minus 1"
17" flabby upper arms - 17" - same

Be sure to follow me and others as we strive to become healthier in 6 months on Angie's "Healthier Me" Blog (I will be posting more often with my struggles and triumphs there, so come check it out!!).
