We got the cake made at Albertson's for Sam because I wasn't going to have time to do it for him this year. He wanted a Gizmo cake, ya know from Gremlins, and they did a super job, I brought in an image of what I would like and they really made me look good for Sam. He was ecstatic when he saw it!
Sam asked that we have pizza for his birthday dinner so of course I obliged him. 4 large pizza's didn't go very far with 5 adults & 3 kids but everyone got their fill and it made it easier to have cake and ice cream after.
Soon it was time for Sam to blow out the candles and before the cake even got set down he had all the candles blown out, I relit them and asked him to take some time blowing them out so I could get at least one shot of him blowing out his candles.
From his grandma & grandpa, Sam got a cool cowboy hat and a neat darth vader bobble head. From me & his dad he got a robot R2D2 and stickers. He was so stoked because all he talked about was star wars this or that for his birthday. He really did have a great day.
The robot needed batteries and it took 3 adults & 3 kids to figure out how the batteries went into it. Seriously how hard do kids toys need to be? We finally got it figured out and soon the little R2D2 was roaming the halls and chasing the cats.
Please excuse my messy house, I had been gone all day and just hadn't had a chance to get the house "photo ready", and YES that is my bed in the livingroom, I have been having horrible dreams about not being able to get the kids out of the basement in times of fire so everyone is upstairs. I am going to get some screens to section it off but for now it's exposed...at least the bed is made, right?
What a cute cake!!! Wonderful photos as always. I know Sam had a great birthday! Looks like he enjoyed himself. TFS and be blessed. Cindy
