So this week I started walking on my treadmill and becoming more active in my life. I even deliberately started walking up and down my basement stairs more and more. I am really watching what I am putting into my mouth and making healthier choices. Instead of having a big brownie I am reaching for a pear, instead of grabbing the big bag of chips (reserved for game nights) I am reaching for celery with peanut butter (adams no stir peanut butter, it's lower in sugar).
My goal for this week was to be able to walk a mile, unfortunately I didn't make that goal but I have been walking a half mile every day. So this next week my goal on the treadmill is to be able to walk the mile by next Friday. I have been getting to bed earlier and I haven't eaten after 8pm - I am working my way to not eating anything after 7pm.
I am taking one day as it comes and doing my best for each day. If I slip up, which I have, I do better the next day. One day is not going to ruin the life style change I want to make.
Today is my son's birthday and I am going to have a piece of his cake, a small piece, but a piece none the less. I can't deprive myself but I can become more aware of the portions I am consuming. I have to not only be healthy for me but remember that whatever I take in my growing baby inside takes it in too.
When I was pregnant with my other babies I craved and ate healthy and rarely ate anything that wasn't good for me. I need to get back to that. I need to be making healthier choices and remind myself that as long as I am aware of what I am putting into my mouth and making the right portion control I will start making strides in my weight loss & reach my goal of being healthy & happier with my body.
So, without further ado, my weight loss so far:
My Previous Weight: 305 pounds
My Weight as of this morning: 300 pounds
Pounds lost: 5 pounds
Pounds still to lose: 66 pounds
I think I made great progress this week and it's at a healthy pace. I am super happy with what I have lost since starting this last Friday!
That is some serious weight loss. 5 lbs. in a week? Way to go. I hope you are thrilled!!
