{2nd Degree Burn}

I am such a bad mother, well I feel like it anyways. I was making tea and put the almost boiling water into a glass container (like I have done in the past) and Ruth was at the table with me, she was making herself some cereal and while she was pouring her milk and I was going back to the stove to put the tea kettle back on the stove the glass container broke and Ruth got scalding water all over her wrist. (I think it happened because the cold milk jug touched the glass container) I got Ruth to the bathroom and her hand under cold water and to my dismay her delicate skin started to fall off, it was horrible and I felt like the worst mother ever!!

I took her right into urgent care and they got her all bandaged up and she's ok but for the next 2 weeks I will be changing her dressing 2 times a day...poor girl is mad cause now she can't get her arm wet or dirty for awhile. I win the worst mom award today.

she was working herself up because she thought this trip was going to end in shots and having to stay in the hospital like when she had pneumonia.
